Calcasieu Parish Rollover Crash Results in Ejected Driver; Ward 6 Fire and CPSO Respond to Emergency

Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana - In the early hours of January 21, 2024, emergency responders in Calcasieu Parish sprang into action after receiving reports of a vehicle crash on Coward Road near Dequincy, Louisiana. The incident, which occurred at approximately 3:13 am, involved a pickup truck that had overturned, leaving the driver ejected from the vehicle.

Ward 6 Fire Department swiftly dispatched Engine 5 and 7 to the scene, where they found the pickup truck lying on its roof. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office (CPSO) was already present and informed the firefighters about the driver's ejection. Firefighters from Ward 6 Fire immediately initiated emergency care for the injured driver until the arrival of Acadian Ambulance.

The injured individual was transported to a hospital in Lake Charles for further care.

Crews from Ward 6 Fire Department remained on the scene to mitigate any potential hazard until the vehicle was recovered by Elite Wrecker Service.
