Calcasieu Parish Student Arrested for Threatening to Blow Up and Shoot Up Moss Bluff Middle School

Moss Bluff, Louisiana – At around 5:00 p.m. on December 13, deputies from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office were informed about a threat made by a student at Moss Bluff Middle School.

Upon initial inquiry, detectives discovered that a 14-year-old student had threatened to blow up and shoot up the school. Following a thorough investigation, the student was apprehended, booked into the Juvenile Detention Center, and charged with menacing.

The Calcasieu Parish School Board provided assistance in the investigation. CPSO Detective Cody Ferguson is heading the investigation for this case.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
