Sulphur, Louisiana - On Tuesday, November 21st, 2023, the City of Sulphur announced that the Verdine Water Plant will initiate a routine maintenance project tonight, starting at 10:00 PM. As a result, residents residing in the affected areas of the northern city limits, south to Arena Road, west to Kim Street, and east to Beglis Parkway may experience low water pressure during this period.

The maintenance project, which is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of the water plant, will last for an undisclosed duration.

During the maintenance project, residents living in the specified areas may notice a decrease in water pressure. The temporary reduction in pressure is necessary to facilitate the maintenance procedures and ensure the longevity of the water plant's infrastructure.

It is important to note that the maintenance project is a proactive measure taken by the Verdine Water Plant to avoid any potential water supply issues in the future. By conducting regular maintenance, the water plant can identify and address any potential problems before they escalate into major disruptions.
