Calcasieu Parish Detectives on Hunt for Check Forgery Suspects After Multi-Bank Fraud in Southwest Louisiana

Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana - On July 18, detectives from the Financial Crimes division of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office received a report about a forgery. Upon initial investigation, it was found that unknown individuals had deposited multiple stolen and forged checks at various banks throughout Calcasieu Parish. Additionally, the DeQuincy Police Department was informed of a similar incident at a bank in DeQuincy, Louisiana. They located the vehicle the suspects were in but were unable to apprehend them as they led officers on a pursuit that was eventually terminated in Texas due to safety concerns.

Despite efforts, CPSO detectives have been unable to identify the suspects and are seeking assistance from anyone who can recognize the individuals or vehicle shown in the photos. Authorities are also asking that anyone with information related to this case contact CPSO at (337) 491-3605. Detective Shelli Fontenot from CPSO is leading the investigation into this case.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
