Unidentified Gunman Opens Fire in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Police Asking For Assistance

Baton Rouge, Louisiana - The shooting death of Anthony Mitchell, 31, is currently under investigation by Baton Rouge Police Homicide Detectives.

On October 30, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Mitchell and several other individuals were parked in the 2000 block of 79th Avenue when an unidentified vehicle passed by and opened fire. Out of all the victims present, Mitchell was the only one who sustained gunshot wounds. He was immediately taken to a local hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

As of the time this was published, both the motive behind the shooting and the identity of the suspect(s) remain unknown.
