The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has announced that Big Woods-Vinton Road, between Big Woods-Edgerly Road and Number Seven Roads, near Vinton, Louisiana will be closed to all traffic from 6 a.m. on Thursday, September 21 until 6 p.m. on Friday, September 22.
The reason for this closure is for pipe replacement.
Northbound traffic will need to detour east on US 90, then continue east on Edgerly Cutoff Road, head north on LA 388, and then continue north on Big Woods-Edgerly Road. Southbound traffic will need to detour south on Big Woods-Edgerly Road, then go south on LA 388, and then head west on US 90.
All road work is dependent on weather conditions.
Drivers should expect some delays during construction and are asked to use caution when driving in the area.
