Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana - Starting from Monday, September 18, 2023, until Friday, September 22, 2023, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced alternating lane closures along LA 27 from Mile Marker 71 (Ellender Bridge) to Mile Marker 75 (Burton Shipyard Road) from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. daily.

LADOTD said that these closures are necessary for crews to perform pavement patching.

Officials want residents to be aware that it is important to exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone and be aware of work crews and their equipment.
