Bell City, Louisiana - A wildfire near Bell City, Louisiana has prompted the evacuation of multiple roads in the area.
At approximately 7:30 p.m. on September 1, 2023, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies are currently on scene in Bell City, Louisiana assisting the Ward 2 Fire Department in reference to a fire.
Authorities are asking that residents located on the following roads evacuate:
- Rossignol
- A Derouen
- Shultz
- Galley
- Joe Breaux
Bell City High School is currently set up as a staging area for residents to evacuate.
Officials ask that residents keep in mind this is a fluid situation and information could change quickly.
