51-Year-Old Louisiana Man Arrested Suspected of Raping an Acquaintance
Ascension Parish, Louisiana – A 51-year-old Louisiana man has been arrested suspected of raping an acquaintance.
According to Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre, deputies responded to complaints of a rape at a property on White Road in Prairieville, Louisiana, on Thursday, February 16, 2023. Authorities spoke with the victim, who named Lawrence Hull, 51, as a suspect.
Throughout the course of the investigation, officers from the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit discovered that Hull and the victim knew each other. Hull was questioned by investigators before being arrested and placed into the Ascension Parish Jail.
Officials stated that the inquiry is still ongoing.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
