50-Year-Old Louisiana Man Arrested in Ohio in connection with 2022 Murder Investigation in Louisiana

Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana – A 50-year-old Louisiana man was arrested in Akron, Ohio, in connection with a murder investigation that took place on October 20, 2022.

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the arrest of a Gibson, Louisiana man wanted in connection with a murder investigation that occurred on October 20, 2022, on January 3, 2023.

Romallic Dynell Nash Sr., 50, of Gibson, Louisiana, was arrested in another state on 2nd-degree murder allegations.

On December 14, 2022, Detectives from the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office’s Violent Crimes Division were notified that Romallic Dynell Nash Sr. had been detained in Akron, Ohio, by the United States Marshall’s Office. Investigators then followed the Extradition process, which would allow Nash to be returned to Terrebonne Parish to face charges in connection with Stacy Boudreaux’s death.

Investigators traveled to Ohio on December 21, 2022, and took possession of Nash, who was transferred back to Terrebonne Parish, where he was arrested and jailed at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex. Nash is still imprisoned in connection with the event and is being held on a $2,000,500.00 bond set by local judges.

Sheriff Tim Soignet thanked the United States Marshall’s Office personally for their aid in apprehending Romallic Dynell Nash Sr. According to Sheriff Soignet, “I am extremely pleased and relieved that Nash is in custody for this senseless murder of an innocent woman. I am grateful for the help and resources provided by the United States Marshall’s Office, as well as the dedication of our Investigators to bring this very violent offender to justice.”

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
