Three Juveniles Arrested in Connection with School Burglary and Theft in Westlake

Westlake, Louisiana – On November 24, 2022, the Westlake Police Department reported that on Wednesday, November 23, they were dispatched to S P Arnett Middle school in reference to a burglary.

Officers discovered that on November 22 and 23, four youths allegedly broke into the school and stole various electronic gadgets and other things worth more than $1500.00.
Westlake Police officers conducted a search warrant at the juveniles’ residence on November 24, 2022, and recovered all of the stolen items.

Three of the juveniles were arrested and charged with Simple Burglary, Criminal Property Damage, Felony Theft, and Criminal Trespass. The fourth minor was too young to face charges. The investigation is still ongoing.

Officers Boudreaux and Quebodeaux assisted Detective Wright, who is the primary investigator.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
