Alleged Drug Dealer in Louisiana Arrested in Connection with Possession of Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Hydrocodone, and Firearms Charges
Louisiana - Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre reported on October 17, 2022, that narcotics agents arrested an alleged drug dealer from Gheens, Louisiana, the previous week. On October 13, 2022, Cameron Rodrigue, 22, was arrested.
Narcotics investigators had been looking into Rodrigue's role in the unlawful distribution of narcotics. During the inquiry, they secured a search warrant for his home on Hyland Drive. On October 13, agents went to Rodrigue's house and encountered him. Rodrigue reportedly refused to exit his home and resisted deputies, but he was apprehended. Agents discovered methamphetamine, marijuana, hydrocodone, two handguns, and assorted drug paraphernalia during a search of the residence.
Rodrigue was taken to Thibodaux's Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex. He was charged with marijuana possession with intent to distribute, methamphetamine possession, hydrocodone possession, firearm possession by a convicted felon, illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, drug paraphernalia possession, and resisting an officer. Bail has been set at $125,000.
