Authorities in Louisiana Searching for Suspect in October 3rd Shooting Investigation and Requesting Assistance from the Public
Shreveport, Louisiana – The Shreveport Police Department announced on October 5, 2022, that on October 3, police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive on reports of a shooting.
Officers on the scene discovered a male with at least one gunshot wound. Shreveport Fire Department personnel rushed him to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. His injuries were upgraded later, and he is expected to recover.
Detectives from the Shreveport Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit arrived and began collecting evidence and conducting interviews. They were able to identify Antonio Savannah as the individual they suspected was responsible for the shooting after conducting an investigation. A warrant was obtained for Antonio Savannah for one count of Attempted First Degree Murder.
