Louisiana Authorities Asking for Assistance in September 25 Raceland Shooting Death Investigation
On September 25, 2022, Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre reported that investigators are looking into a shooting that happened overnight in Raceland, Louisiana, and killed one individual. Lorenzo Stuart, 37, of Lockport, Louisiana, was confirmed as the victim by investigators.
On Saturday, September 25, 2022, at about 11:30 p.m., deputies responded to reports of shots fired in the St. Louis Street neighborhood. When they arrived, they discovered a man who had been shot, later identified as Stuart. He was later declared deceased. The incident is thought to have taken place on the 700 block of St. Louis Street.
As the investigation proceeds, detectives are appealing to the public for assistance.
