Congressman Higgins Praises Aviation Exteriors for $2.5M Investment, New Jobs in Louisiana
Louisiana / Washington D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) praised Aviation Exteriors (AvEx) for announcing a $2.5 million investment to expand services and create new jobs at its Iberia Parish, Louisiana facility.
AvEx, which specializes in aviation exterior painting, will build a dedicated aircraft maintenance hangar near Acadiana Regional Airport with equipment for new services. The expansion is expected to result in the creation of 100 new direct jobs in Iberia Parish.
Aviation Exteriors Louisiana, which has long specialized in commercial aircraft painting, will expand its Iberia Parish facility to include aircraft maintenance and conversion services. Aviation Exteriors will add 100 new direct jobs with an average annual salary of $56,867 plus benefits while keeping 83 existing jobs.
The company will invest $2.5 million to build a dedicated aircraft maintenance hangar at Acadiana Regional Airport near New Iberia with extensive tooling and equipment for the new services.
Representative Higgins issued the following statement:
“This $2.5 million investment from Aviation Exteriors is welcome news. Their expansion will create new jobs and encourage economic growth in Iberia Parish. My office supports private investment projects like this one, and we are working at the federal level to restore American economic prosperity.”
