Louisiana Attorney General Issues Statement Regarding Election Integrity Case Involving Mark Zuckerberg

Louisiana – According to the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, a Louisiana Court of Appeal recently sided with Attorney General Jeff Landry and reopened the case against the Mark Zuckerberg-funded Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL) for attempting to inject private money into our election system. The case has been remanded to the trial court.

The Louisiana Supreme Court denied the CTCL’s request to overturn the Appellate Court’s decision on June 28, 2022, confirming that the case will be heard in trial court. Louisiana Attorney General Landry issued the following statement in response to the decision:

“I have said from the beginning, our democracy is not for sale; private money should not fund our elections. Mark Zuckerberg’s attempt to supersede the people’s elected representatives will not go unchecked. We will continue to stand up and defend Louisiana from entities trying to rig our election system.”
