Grambling State University in Louisiana to Host STEM Saturday on May 28
Louisiana – STEM Grambling in partnership with Grambling State University, Sodexo Magic and STEM NOLA powered by Entergy will host an in-person STEM Saturday event for the first time in more than two years. The event will take place on Saturday, May 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Grambling State University, 403 Main St, Grambling, LA 71245. K-2nd grade students will build and test their own flashlight, and 3rd-12th grade students will build and test their own stoplight as they learn about circuits and electricity.
The event is intended to teach registered attendees how electricity flows and how circuits are used to power everyday devices. As we engage the youth of Grambling and the surrounding areas in this vertical mentoring opportunity, students will have the opportunity to innovate, create, and make with college interns and STEM professionals. STEM Grambling is a branch of STEM Global Action, which gives children hands-on experiences with fun STEM-related projects in order to foster positive attitudes and confidence in science, technology, engineering, and math.
