Louisiana Man Found Guilty of Armed Robbery After Robbing Gas Station with Glass Bottle

Louisiana – On May 9, 2022, the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office reported that on May 6, Kendrick N. Shepherd, 35, of Sulphur, Louisiana was found guilty as charged of one count of Armed Robbery.
Shepherd violently robbed two gas stations just five days apart in 2018. Shepherd was armed with a glass beer bottle, which he used as a weapon and struck the cashier with while stealing goods and money during the first armed robbery. Shepherd got into a physical altercation with the cashier during the second robbery and robbed them of goods and money.

Because of Shepherd’s violent criminal history, Assistant District Attorney Joey Williams will seek a habitual offender enhancement. Shepherd’s sentencing will take place on July 8, 2022, before Judge David Ritchie.

Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office Assistant District Attorneys Joey Williams and Christopher Guelzow prosecuted the case.
