Louisiana Authorities Seek Driver in a Hit and Run That Left a Pedestrian Seriously Injured

Louisiana State Police are looking for the driver in an October 27 hit and run crash that left a pedestrian seriously injured.
Louisiana –Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop L began investigating a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on U.S. Highway 51, near LA Highway 40, in Tangipahoa Parish, shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. A female pedestrian was critically injured in the collision. The pedestrian was walking on the southbound side of US Highway 51 when the accident happened, according to the initial investigation. The front of a southbound vehicle collided with the person on the road for unknown reasons. The suspect’s vehicle fled the area after striking the pedestrian.
Troopers believe the suspect vehicle is white and will have damage to the right front headlight based on evidence acquired at the scene of the crash.
The crash is still being investigated, and Troopers are asking anyone with information to call Louisiana State Police Troop L at 985-893-6250.
