Calcasieu Parish Sherrif’s Office Releases Results of DWI Checkpoint in Westlake

From CPSO – On Friday, December 18, 2020, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a DWI checkpoint in the 3100 block of Westwood Road in Westlake to target individuals driving under the influence of alcohol and/or narcotics.
 
Four hundred and twelve (412) vehicles were checked; seven (7) field sobriety tests were administered; four (4) citations were issued for no seatbelt; two (2) citations were issued for no child restraint; and two (2) citations were issued for no insurance.
 

The following individual was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center:

 
Jason P. Johnson, Jr., 21, Lake Chares was arrested for possession of CDS II; illegal carry of a weapon in the presence of a CDS; and a traffic citation.
 
The following individuals were issued a signed summons and released:
 
Michael J. Hennigan, 28, Westlake, was arrested for DWI 2nd offense
Patrick B. Guidry, 48, Lake Charles, was arrested for DWI; possession of marijuana; and open container
Cesar Nery, Jr., 18, Lake Charles, was arrested for possession of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia
 
Participating in the checkpoint was the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana State Police Troop D.
