Cameron Ferry to be Out of Service for 8 Weeks, DOTD Working to Secure an Alternate Vessel

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that the ferry located in Cameron will remain out of service for approximately eight (8) weeks for mechanical repairs. The M/V Acadia vessel requires propulsion shaft repairs and must be dry-docked to complete.
DOTD is actively working to secure an alternate ferry vessel for motorists to cross the ship channel while the M/V Acadia is out of service. A separate notification will be issued if an alternate ferry will be made available.
