Charles Lee Fontenot, age 37, was sentenced by the Honorable David Ritchie on June 5, 2020, to a total of 140 years at hard labor. Fontenot pled guilty as charged on November 21, 2019, to two counts of aggravated crimes against nature and two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile. He was sentenced to 50 years on each count of aggravated crimes against nature and 20 years on each count of indecent behavior with a juvenile. All sentences were ordered to be consecutive to one another, totaling 140 years.

Assistant District Attorney Denisse Parrales prosecuted the case for the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office.

“The work that CPSO Detective Dore put into this case is evident in the outcome. I am truly happy that the victims have closure and can move on with their lives. Judge Ritchie’s sentence is fair in the sense that the victims will no longer live in fear of this defendant. Mr. Fontenot has lost his control over the victims, his reign of terror has ceased, and for that I am thankful,” ADA Denisse Parrales.
