On December 23, 2019, the popular local burger restaurant, Maplewood Burgers, made the announced on their Facebook page that they will be opening a new location in Moss Bluff in 2020.

Maplewood Burgers originally opened in a convenience store in the Maplewood area of Sulphur and quickly became popular for their stuffed burgers. They currently have two restaurants, one in Sulphur at 4124 Maplewood Drive, and the other in Lake Charles at 4453 Nelson Road. The Moss Bluff Maplewood Burgers will be located in the Parkway Village Shopping Center near Rouses Market. The address for the new location is currently listed as 1355 Sam Houston Jones Pkwy., Moss Bluff
