71-Year-Old Louisiana Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash, Police Now Asking for Help Locating Drivers of Two Vehicles Involved 

Baton Rouge, Louisiana - On January 20, 2023, a 71-year-old Louisiana woman was struck and killed by two vehicles in the 10400 block of Burbank Drive in Baton Rouge. Neither vehicle stopped to render aid or notify emergency personnel. Police are now looking for the drivers of both vehicles.

On January 23, 2023, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office (EBRSO) reported that on January 20, 2023, at approximately 7:19 pm, deputies responded to the 10400 block of Burbank Drive in response to a pedestrian struck by two vehicles.

Ethel Wesley, 71, was taken to the hospital for treatment but died as a result of her injuries.

According to witness statements and video, Wesley crossed the westbound lane of Burbank on foot and was then struck by two vehicles traveling eastbound on Burbank toward Bluebonnet Blvd, one after the other. After striking the pedestrian, neither vehicle stopped to render aid or notify emergency personnel.

One of the vehicles is thought to be a dark-colored BMW from 2009 to 2011. Photos of both vehicles, which may have moderate to severe front-end damage, are featured above the article.
