63-Year-Old Louisiana Man Arrested in Connection with the Alleged Rape of Three Juveniles in St John the Baptist Parish
St John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana – A 63-year-old Louisiana man has been arrested in connection with the alleged rape of three juveniles in St John the Baptist Parish.
Rodney D. Labat, 63, of LaPlace, Louisiana, was arrested on May 2, 2023, for alleged rape involving juveniles, according to the St John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office (SJSO).
According to authorities, the SJSO received a report alleging child sexual abuse of three juveniles on April 18, 2023. Throughout the course of the inquiry, detectives reportedly uncovered evidence that Labat had sexual contact with a male and female while they were juveniles several years ago.
Furthermore, evidence was obtained that Labat had sexual contact with another juvenile in March 2023. Detectives secured an arrest warrant for Labat based on the investigation. He was charged with aggravated rape and first-degree rape.
Labat is being held in custody in lieu of a bond of $750,000.
