60-Year-Old Louisiana Man Found Guilty of Having Sex with a Mentally Impaired Juvenile and Now Faces Life Without Parole
Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana – A 60-year-old Louisiana man has been found guilty of having sex with a mentally impaired juvenile and now faces life in prison without parole.
The Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office revealed on April 21, 2023, that on April 20, 2023, William G. Perkins, 60, of DeQuincy, Louisiana, was found guilty as accused of First Degree Rape of a Juvenile.
Perkins’ sentencing will take place on May 19, 2023, before Judge Clayton Davis.
Perkins was discovered having sexual intercourse with a mentally impaired juvenile in 2021, according to court filings. Perkins is facing a life sentence without the possibility of probation, parole, or sentence suspension.
Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office Assistant District Attorneys Hope Buford and Kadence Huber prosecuted the case.
