58-Year-Old Louisiana Man Arrested Suspected of 7 Couts of Rape, Sexual Battery, and Abuse of a Victim Under 17

Houma, Louisiana – A 58-year-old Louisiana Man has been arrested on charges of seven counts of third-degree rape and one count of sexual battery in connection with the sexual abuse of a victim under the age of 17.

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the arrest of a Houma man in connection with a juvenile sexual investigation being conducted by Detectives with the Terrebonne Sheriff’s Office’s Special Victim’s Unit. Aaron Wayne Lee, 58, was arrested on Third-Degree Rape and Sexual Battery charges as a result of the investigation.

On January 5, 2023, at about 9:30 p.m., the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division received a complaint of alleged sexual misconduct allegations from a victim under the age of 17. The victim accused Aaron Wayne Lee of sexual abuse and presented Patrol Deputies with specifics and digital evidence of the allegations.

The case was turned over to the Special Victims Unit (SVU). During the victim’s interrogation, Detectives discovered that the abuse had reportedly occurred numerous times over the course of a year. Detectives were able to confirm the digital evidence that tied Lee to the inquiry during the preliminary investigation.

Aaron Wayne Lee was apprehended by detectives and brought in for interrogation. Detectives interviewed Lee, who eventually admitted to his involvement in the victim’s sexual abuse and offered information to authorities that were consistent with the victim’s allegations.

Aaron Wayne Lee was arrested and booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on charges of seven counts of Third-Degree Rape, and one count of Sexual Battery. Lee is still being held in Terrebonne Parish on a $1 million bond set by local judges.
