52 Suspects Arrested in Violent Crime Attack Team Investigation Targeting Areas with Hight Crime Rates in Louisiana
Louisiana – A successful collaborative operation by multiple agencies of the Violent Crime Attack Team (VCAT) has effectively focused on areas with high crime rates and managed to decrease incidents of gun-related crimes.
The VCAT, which is made up of various law enforcement agencies including the Natchitoches Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, Louisiana State Police, Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, Natchitoches Police Department, Sabine TNT, ATF, and FBI, has recently finished a significant operation with the goal of decreasing gun-related offenses in areas with high crime rates.
Law enforcement officers focused on areas with high criminal activity and successfully apprehended a total of 52 individuals, confiscating various illegal drugs and notably seizing 12 firearms. This operation was carried out as part of a broader initiative to diminish gun-related violence in the area, as it has experienced a rise in such crimes in recent times.
Narcotics seizures during the investigations included 19.6 grams of Methamphetamine, 35.5 tablets of Ecstasy, 20 Hydrocodone tablets, 236 Fentanyl tablets, 45 grams of Marijuana, and 20 Amphetamine tablets.
The Natchitoches Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force indicated that the hard work and commitment of all the involved organizations played a crucial role in the accomplishment of this operation. They put in relentless efforts to enhance the safety of our communities.
