45-Year-Old Louisiana Woman Arrested for Domestic Abuse and Aggravated Assault After Allegedly Throwing a Mug at Her Boyfriend
Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana – A 45-year-old Louisiana woman has been arrested for domestic abuse and aggravated assault after allegedly throwing a mug at her boyfriend.
On April 17, 2023, the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that on Sunday, April 16, deputies were sent to a domestic disturbance in the 3300 Block of North Frontage Road in Jennings, Louisiana.
The complainant reportedly told deputies investigating the incident that his girlfriend had gotten into an argument with him and thrown a coffee mug at him. The complainant suffered a laceration to his hand as a result of the shattered glass mug and said that his girlfriend departed the scene before deputies arrived.
The girlfriend, Tanya Lynn Bergeron, 45, of Jennings, Louisiana, was located at the Circle K on Elton Road by deputies and placed under arrest for domestic abuse and aggravated assault.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
