45-Year-Old Louisiana Man Arrested for Allegedly Falsely Impersonating a Peace Officer, Obscenity, and Other Crimes
Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana – A Louisiana man has been arrested for allegedly falsely impersonating a peace officer, obscenity, failure to appear in court, and tampering with a resident’s surveillance system. The man was found to be wearing a police uniform at the time of the arrest.
The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) reported on January 19, 2023, that on January 13, 2023, they received a complaint about a subject impersonating a police officer. Further investigation by APSO Deputies and Detectives revealed that Patrick Paul Miller, 45, of Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana was not the commissioned deputy he claimed to be. A subsequent search of his home yielded the seizure of the police uniform(s) he wore.
Miller was arrested for False Personation of a Peace Officer, as well as other active arrest warrants for obscenity, two (2) contempt of court – failure to appear, and tampering with a nearby resident’s surveillance or monitoring system. He was arrested and taken to the APSO DC-1 Jail Facility. The bail was set at $100,000. Miller is still being held in our jail at the moment.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
