43-Year-Old Louisiana Man Arrested for Alleged Carnal Knowledge and Pornography Involving a Juvenile
Sulphur, Louisiana – A 43-year-old Louisiana man has been arrested for alleged carnal knowledge and pornography involving a juvenile.
On February 22, 2023, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) reported that on February 10, detectives received a complaint regarding allegations of a 43-year-old man having carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
Detectives learned during the investigation that Antonio R. Chavez, 43, of Sulphur, Louisiana, allegedly had sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 17 and photographed the incident.
Chavez was arrested on February 11 and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Facility Center, where he was charged with criminal carnal knowledge of a juvenile and pornography involving juveniles.
His bond was set at $250,000 by Judge Tony Fazzio.
The inquiry is still underway, and additional charges are possible.
Detective Kara Adams of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is the case’s lead investigator.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
