42-Year-Old Louisiana Man Arrested After Allegedly Throwing His Wife to the Ground and Hitting Her
Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana – A 42-year-old Louisiana man has been arrested after allegedly throwing his wife to the ground and hitting her.
On March 27, 2023, the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that on Saturday, March 25, at around 9 am deputies were dispatched to an address in the 13000 Block of Touchet Road, in Jennings, Louisiana in reference to a complainant from a resident stating that her husband is hurting her.
Authorities indicated that when deputies arrived, they met with the complainant, who indicated that her husband, Branden Furay, was angry with her because she let her oldest daughter stay the night before at the residence.
According to the complainant, the disagreement continued into the next morning and turned physical when he threw her to the ground and struck her behind the ear.
Furay left the home before deputies arrived, but he was seen driving on Highway 395 and was apprehended.
Branden Kane Furay, 42, was arrested and booked into the parish jail for domestic abuse battery with child endangerment and an outstanding contempt of court warrant.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
