41-Year-Old Louisiana Man Arrested Suspected of Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin and Fentanyl, and Possession of Marijuana

Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana – A 41-year-old Louisiana man has been arrested suspected of possession with intent to distribute heroin and fentanyl, and possession of marijuana.

The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office said that Jeff Davis Sheriff’s investigators and Lake Arthur Police conducted a search warrant on a home in the 500 Block of New Orleans Street in Lake Arthur, Louisiana.

According to reports, officers secured the search warrant after learning that individuals at the property were involved in illegal narcotics operations.
During the search, detectives reportedly recovered marijuana and Fentanyl. Jacob Odel David, 41, of New Orleans Street, Lake Arthur, was arrested on outstanding warrants for possession with intent to distribute heroin and Fentanyl.

David was charged with possession of CDS II, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana based on the illegal narcotics uncovered during the search.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
