Union Parish, Louisiana – A 41-year-old Louisiana man has been arrested following a complaint of alleged sexual abuse of a minor that occurred over an eight-year period.
The Union Parish Sheriff’s Office (UPSO) has reported the arrest of Jonathan Lee Ates, 41, of Bernice, Louisiana, following a complaint of alleged sexual abuse of a juvenile. The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services contacted UPSO in November 2022 in response to a complaint about a fourteen-year-old female victim.
The UPSO Criminal Investigation Division launched an investigation and discovered that the arrestee allegedly sexually abused the victim periodically for the past eight years, beginning when she was only six years old.
