40-Year-Old Louisiana Man Arrested Suspected of 25 counts of Violation of a Protective Order and Other Crimes

Rapides Parish, Louisiana – A 40-year-old Louisiana man has been arrested and is suspected of 25 counts of violation of a protective order and other crimes.

According to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, Deputies at the Tioga Substation got a walk-in complaint on February 3, 2023, involving an alleged domestic violence incident in the Pineville, Louisiana area. Deputies took the original complaint and forwarded the case to Sheriff’s Detectives for further investigation.

Investigators questioned the victim and were able to establish sufficient probable cause for an arrest warrant for the suspect identified as Michael Carroll Guillory, 40, of Pineville, Louisiana, to be arrested for one count of Domestic Abuse Battery-Strangulation.
On February 8, Detectives were able to locate and apprehend Guillory without incident. Guillory was arrested and sent to the Rapides Parish Detention Center, where he was booked for the warrant. Guillory was released on a $25,000.00 bail on February 10 after being served with a protective order.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Aurora Drive in Pineville, Louisiana on February 13, 2023, in connection to a violation of protective orders. Deputies took the original report, and Tioga Substation detectives began their follow-up investigation.

Investigators questioned the victim and reportedly established sufficient probable cause to seek an arrest warrant for Guillory on 25 counts of Violation of a Protective Order.

Investigators attempted to reach Guillory through cell phone, but he reportedly refused to cooperate with law enforcement’s request that he turn himself in. After a brief struggle, Detectives got Guillory into custody on February 16, 2023, with the assistance of RADE Agents and RADE K-9s. Guillory was subsequently taken to the Rapides Parish Detention Center and charged with 25 counts of Violation of a Protective Order and Resisting an Officer. Guillory is still being held in jail on a $63,000.00 bond at the time of this release.

The investigation is still ongoing, according to detectives, and they are asking anyone who has any additional information concerning these offenses to call Detective Matt Dauzat, Criminal Investigations, at 318-641-6010.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
