Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana – A 34-year-old man has been arrested in Louisiana after authorities reportedly locate him in possession of methamphetamine with a runaway juvenile

The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office stated on March 6, 2023, that Deputies responded to the area of Highway 101 and Frontage Road in Lacassine, Louisiana, on March 5, 2023, in regard to a missing person.

According to Lake Charles Police, a juvenile ran away and was possibly in the vicinity. At 5:48 a.m., a witness reportedly noticed a juvenile and an adult male headed towards Interstate from the convenience store.

Deputies reviewed surveillance video from the convenience store and saw the alleged runaway with a white male, walking away from the business toward the Interstate.
Deputies tracked down the runaway and Timothy Eugene Alred, 34, on South Frontage Road near Hoke Road, about 10 miles from the convenience store.

Deputies reportedly discovered a white powdery substance believed to be methamphetamine in his right jacket pocket during a pat down. The juvenile runaway was returned to their parents, and Alred was arrested for possession of schedule two narcotics and contributing to a juvenile’s delinquency.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
