30-Year-Old Louisiana Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash After Colliding with 18-Wheeler on I-40
Stonewall – Troopers assigned to LSP Troop G began investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash on I-49, north of LA Hwy 3276, on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at approximately 6:00 p.m., according to Louisiana State Police (LSP). Diamond Foster, 30, of Mansfield Louisiana, was killed in this crash.
According to the preliminary investigation, a 2021 Kenworth was accelerating to highway speeds after entering I-49 southbound from the shoulder. Foster’s southbound 2011 Dodge Caravan collided with the trailer of the Kenworth.
Foster was restrained but died as a result of her injuries, according to the DeSoto Parish Coroner. The Kenworth driver was restrained and was not injured in the crash.
Although impairment is not suspected to be a factor in this crash, routine toxicology samples were collected and sent for analysis. The crash is still being investigated.
Troop G investigated four fatal crashes in 2023, resulting in four deaths.
