30 kg of crystal meth and approximately $6,000 seized in Louisiana Traffic Stop

Louisiana – Troopers from Troop F stopped a Kia Sportage traveling east on Interstate 20 in Richland Parish on May 16, 2022, just before 10:00 a.m., according to Louisiana State Police. During the traffic stop, Troopers became suspicious of criminal activity. After obtaining consent to search, Troopers were able to locate and seize approximately 30 kilograms of suspected crystal meth, as well as approximately $6,000.00 in cash.

Louisiana State Troopers said that troopers will continue to make the state’s citizens safer through proactive drug enforcement and collaboration with local and federal law enforcement agencies. Troopers will target local and multi-state drug trafficking organizations by enforcing all state and federal laws governing the illicit manufacture, distribution, sale, and use of drugs.
