3 Suspects Arrested in Multi-Agency Investigation to Remove Drugs and Firearms from Louisiana Streets

Ascension Parish, Louisiana – Three suspects have been arrested in Louisiana in a multi-agency investigation to remove drugs and firearms from Louisiana streets.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) and the Gonzales Police Department (GPD) reported on February 8, 2023, that thanks to collaborative efforts with the Gonzales Police Department and other agencies, the APSO Narcotics Unit assisted in the removal of several firearms and illegal drugs from Louisiana streets.

The Gonzales Police Department reported that on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 7, 2023, Narcotics Agents from the Gonzales Police Department and the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office worked together to execute a search warrant at an address in the 300 Block of West Bordelon Street, resulting in the arrest of three people and the seizure of contraband.

GPD Narcotics and APSO Narcotics conducted a long-term investigation into criminal activity at the above residence, which resulted in the arrests and seizures. Agents were able to identify known offenders, armed with various firearms, who frequented the residence over the course of the multi-month investigation.

Terraz White was identified as a West Bordelon resident. He was discovered to be a fugitive, a convicted felon, and was seen armed with firearms during surveillance operations by APSO.
GPD Uniform Patrol apprehended White on February 7th for his outstanding warrant with APSO. GPD Patrol responded to the residence after a threat that “somebody would be shot” was made to a third party.

After learning that White was in the custody of the GPD Uniform Patrol, GPD Narcotics and APSO Narcotics responded to the residence. A search warrant was obtained, granted, and executed on the residence, during which time agents discovered three firearms, marijuana, methamphetamine, ammunition, and items consistent with narcotics distribution.

The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are possible.

During the investigation an M&P Rifle 300 Blackout caliber (stolen through GPD), AK-47 Rifle, Glock .40 caliber with extended magazine and modifications, 2oz of marijuana, 8g of methamphetamine
4.5oz unknown powder substance, ammunition, magazines, firearms accessories, and packaging materials were seized.

Terraz White, 23, was arrested and charged with three counts of Illegal possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, three counts of Illegal possession of Firearm while possessing CDS, Illegal possession of a Stolen Firearm, Possession with intent to distribute Schedule I, Possession with intent to distribute Schedule II, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and an APSO Warrant for Felon in Possession of a Firearm

Terraz White is currently out on house arrest and has a pending murder charge in St James Parish to which he is awaiting trial.

Tykwan White, 25, was charged with Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor Summons).

Tyren Porter, 18, was arrested during the investigation for a Bench Warrant for failure to appear.

Agencies assisting in this investigation include Gonzales Police Department Uniform Patrol, APSO Narcotics,  APSO K-9, DEA Baton Rouge Task Force, and ATF Baton Rouge.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
