3 Louisiana Men Arrested for Allegedly Stealing Wire, Tubing, and Tools
Lake Charles, Louisiana – On May 23, 2022, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that on May 13 CPSO deputies were dispatched to a business on Henry Pugh Blvd. in Lake Charles in reference to multiple buildings on the property being burglarized.
Several of the buildings were damaged, and copper wire and tubing, electronics, and power tools were stolen. Further investigation revealed that the thefts started earlier this year, and the suspects, later identified as Dustin P. Boudreaux, 31, of Creole, Louisiana, Brandon J. Phillips, 40, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and James E. Pilotti, 36, of Cameron, Louisiana, returned to the locations several times to commit the thefts. Following further investigation, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives executed search warrants on Boudreaux and Pilotti’s homes with the assistance of the Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Large amounts of copper wire and wire casing, copper tubing, and power tools with the name of the business labeled on them were discovered by detectives. It was also discovered after Boudreaux, Pilotti, and Phillips scrapped over 2,000 pounds of copper in March.
