27-Year-Old Louisiana Woman Arrested in Connection With Stabbing During a May 7 Fight
St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana – A 27-year-old woman from Louisiana was arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred during a fight on May 7.
St. Bernard Parish Sheriff James Pohlmann said on May 15, 2023, that the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office has apprehended a female in connection with a stabbing that occurred on Sunday, May 7, 2023, in Meraux, Louisiana.
Deputies responded to a call for service in regard to a disturbance in a parking lot in the 4100 block of Mistrot Drive in Meraux, Louisiana, shortly after 1 a.m. on Sunday, May 7, according to Sheriff Pohlmann.
As deputies got on the site, they discovered a brawl involving numerous people, and one of the ladies involved stabbed another female during the encounter.
The female victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Bureau reportedly determined that Wickem stabbed the female victim many times during the dispute and fled the scene before deputies arrived over the course of the investigation. Wickem was arrested on Monday, May 15, after an arrest warrant was filed.
Trebrekiante Wickem, 27, of Violet, Louisiana, was charged with attempted second-degree murder on Monday, May 15, 2023.
Sheriff Pohlmann stated that this was an isolated event involving a group of women who were acquaintances.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
