26-Year-Old Louisiana Man Faces up to 20 Years in Prison and up to $1 Million Fine for Year-Long Plot to Distribute Methamphetamine
New Orleans, Louisiana – A 26-year-old Louisiana man faces up to twenty years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million for a year-long plot to distribute methamphetamine.
U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans announced that on March 2, 2023, Tatum Dardar, 26, from Terrebonne Parish, pled guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute a quantity of methamphetamine, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 846, 841(a)(1), and 841(b)(1)(C) and possession with the intent to distribute a quantity of methamphetamine, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1) and 841(b)(1)(C).
Dardar was involved in a year-long plot to distribute methamphetamine throughout Terrebonne Parish and the surrounding areas.
Dardar faces a potential sentence of twenty years in prison, a possible fine of up to $1,000,000.00, at least four years of supervised release following any period of incarceration, and a $100 obligatory special assessment fee at sentencing.
The US Drug Enforcement Agency, the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Louisiana State Police, and the Houma Police Department all investigated this case. Assistant United States Attorney Lynn E. Schiffman of the Narcotics Section is in charge of the prosecution.
