23-Year-Old Louisiana Woman Arrested For Active Warrant and Alleged Drug Possession During Traffic Stop in Jennings

Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana – A 23-year-old woman from Louisiana was arrested during a traffic stop in Jennings for an active warrant and alleged drug possession.

Deputies patrolling on Lake Arthur Avenue near West South Street in Jennings, Louisiana made a traffic stop on a Dodge pickup on May 12, 2023, according to the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office. The vehicle pulled into a parking lot on West South Street.

Deputies spoke with the driver and passenger, Alexis Kendall, according to reports. Alexis Sue Kendall, 23, of Jennings, was arrested on an active arrest warrant.

Deputies reportedly discovered a clear baggie containing a crystal-like substance suspected to be methamphetamine during the arrest. Kendall was arrested and booked into the parish jail for contempt of court and possession of CDS II.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
