23-Year-Old Louisiana Man Arrested After Allegedly Smashing an Aquarium and Injuring Somone During Domestic Dispute

Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana – A 23-year-old man from Louisiana was arrested after allegedly smashing an aquarium and injuring someone during a domestic dispute.

On May 30, 2023, the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that Deputies were summoned to an address in the 15500 Block of Atterberry Road, in Welsh, Louisiana, in relation to a domestic disturbance on Friday, May 26, 2023.

According to reports, when deputies arrived, they spoke with a female who had blood on her arms and stomach. Deputies were told that the complainant and her boyfriend had a disagreement and that he smashed an aquarium in the home, which injured her arm.

When the dispute became heated, a witness at the home corroborated it, and the witness took two children from the residence.
Matthew Nicholas Johns, 23, was arrested and placed into the parish jail on a warrant for contempt of court for driving violations and domestic abuse battery with child endangerment.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
