20-Year-Old Louisiana Man Arrested in Connection with March 5 Murder in Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge, Louisiana – A 20-year-old Louisiana man has been arrested in connection with a March 5 murder in Baton Rouge.

The Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) confirmed on March 22, 2023, that Homicide Detectives had arrested Rashawn Rashae Alexander, 20, for his alleged involvement in the shooting death of Nicholas Williams on March 5, 2023.

Alexander was taken into custody on March 22, at an address in the 16000 block of South Harrell’s Ferry Rd by the Baton Rouge Police Special Response Team and the East Baton Rouge Sheriff Swat Team.
Alexander was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Murder, Possession of Firearm or Carrying Concealed Weapon by a Person Convicted of Certain Felonies, Distribution/Possession of Marijuana, and Illegal Use of Weapons.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
