2 Arrested for an Aggravated Assault with a Firearm in Moss Bluff

One from Texas and one from Louisiana have been charged with aggravated assault in connection with a disturbance involving a gun at a fast-food restaurant in Moss Bluff, LA
Moss Bluff, LA – Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a fast-food restaurant on Sam Houston Jones Parkway in Moss Bluff on November 12, 2021, at approximately 11:00 p.m. in response to a disturbance involving a gun.
When deputies arrived, they discovered a restaurant employee with a gunshot wound to her hand. During the initial investigation, detectives discovered that the two suspects, Conswella A. Robinson, 45, of Humble, Texas, and Catherine M. Anderson, 64, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, had entered the restaurant armed with a gun to confront the victim.
Robinson, Anderson, and the victim got into a physical argument, during which the pistol was produced. The gun was reported to have been accidentally discharged during a scuffle between the three people, wounding the victim and grazing Robinson on the forearm.
Robinson and the victim were taken to a nearby hospital and treated for their injuries before being released.
Robinson and Anderson were arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm; aggravated battery, and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. Robinson was also charged with having CDS I on his person. Their bonds have yet to be issued.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Detective Michael Miller is the lead investigator on this case.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
