15-Year-Old Student at School in Louisiana Arrested After Allegedly Attempting to Stab an Officer 

Baton Rouge, Louisiana – A 15-year-old student at a school in Louisiana has been arrested after allegedly attempting to stab an officer.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported on March 9, 2023, that uniformed officers were summoned to 1500 North Airway Dr, at Idea Bridge Academy, in response to a significant disturbance at about 1:13 pm.

According to authorities, a 15-year-old female student allegedly attempted to stab a uniformed officer with a knife while officers were attempting to de-escalate the conflict and detain some of the hostile kids.

The 15-year-old girl allegedly indicated that she carried the knife to school with the intent of stabbing another pupil.

The suspect was arrested and placed in East Baton Rouge Juvenile Detention for Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon on School Property, and Resisting an Officer.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
