14-Year-Old Louisiana Middle School Student Arrested After Allegedly Threatening Other Students in the Presence of School Administrators and an Officer
Lake Charles, Louisiana – A 14-year-old student from a middle school in Louisiana was arrested after allegedly making threats to other students in the presence of school administrators and a School Resource Officer.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) reported on May 12, 2023, that on Thursday, May 11, at around 2:30 p.m., CPSO deputies were contacted about a threat made by a student at Molo Middle School in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
According to CPSO reports, deputies discovered the 14-year-old was threatening other students in the presence of school administrators and the CPSO School Resource Officer during the original investigation. Detectives questioned the student, who allegedly confirmed the accusations. He was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center on terrorizing charges.
Detective Mika Miguez of the CPSO is the case’s principal investigator. The Calcasieu Parish School Board assisted CPSO in the investigation.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
