11-Year-Old Boy Fatally Struck by SUV in Lake Charles Incident, CPSO Investigating

Lake Charles, Louisiana – At around 6:40 p.m. on December 6, deputies from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office were called to Claude Hebert Road in Lake Charles, Louisiana, near Mark Lebleu Road. They found that a small SUV had hit and killed an 11-year-old boy while traveling on Claude Hebert Road.

The incident is currently being investigated to determine the cause of the crash, and CPSO said that it is currently unknown if the pedestrian was walking in the lane of travel. The driver underwent standard toxicology testing as per Louisiana state law, but there is no suspicion of impairment.

CPSO Sr. Cpl. Travis Carroll is leading the investigation into this case.
